MotoGP China Siap Comeback Setelah 17 Tahun Vakum

Berita MotoGP: Promotor MotoGP, Dorna Sports, dikabarkan mulai menyiapkan rencana untuk mengembalikan MotoGP China ke kalender kejuaraan dunia setelah absen selama hampir dua dekade. Kabar ini dikonfirmasi oleh sejumlah sumber Motorsport.com yang menyebut bahwa delegasi eksekutif Dorna baru saja melakukan kunjungan resmi ke Shanghai.

</p> <p>China terakhir kali menjadi tuan rumah MotoGP pada periode 2005 hingga 2008 di Sirkuit Internasional Shanghai. Saat itu, balapan sempat dimenangkan oleh legenda-legenda MotoGP seperti Valentino Rossi (2005 dan 2008), Dani Pedrosa (2006), dan Casey Stoner (2007).</p> <p>Kunjungan terbaru Dorna ke Shanghai dipimpin langsung oleh CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta dan direktur olahraga Carlos Ezpeleta. Keduanya melakukan perjalanan antara seri Australia dan Malaysia pada Oktober lalu, termasuk singgah di fasilitas produksi CFMoto, merek sepeda motor asal China yang kini menjadi mitra teknis KTM di kelas Moto3.</p> <p>Rencana kebangkitan Grand Prix China ini diproyeksikan bisa terealisasi paling cepat pada musim 2027, tergantung kesiapan infrastruktur dan komitmen kerja sama dari pihak lokal.</p> <p>Dorna ingin memastikan proyek ini tidak mengulang kegagalan masa lalu. Pada penyelenggaraan sebelumnya, MotoGP China harus berhenti lebih awal dari kontrak yang semula direncanakan hingga 2011 karena minimnya penonton, kurangnya promosi, dan masalah internal pengelola sirkuit. Bahkan, mantan direktur sirkuit, Yu Zhifei, sempat dipenjara selama empat tahun karena kasus penggelapan dana sekitar 100 ribu euro.</p> <p>Untuk edisi baru ini, Dorna akan mengusung model kerja sama campuran yang melibatkan beberapa pihak penting, termasuk otoritas lokal, sponsor utama, dan perusahaan swasta. Dua pihak yang disebut akan berperan besar adalah CFMoto serta Juss Sports, promotor yang juga menyelenggarakan Formula 1 Grand Prix China sejak 2004.</p> <p>CFMoto sendiri diketahui semakin aktif di dunia MotoGP sejak debutnya pada 2022.
