Steiner Usulkan Gabriel Bortoleto Sebagai Rekan Verstappen di Red Bull

Berita F1: Mantan kepala tim Haas F1, Guenther Steiner, memberikan pandangan unik soal siapa yang ia anggap pantas duduk di kursi rekan Max Verstappen, dan jawabannya bukan nama yang paling sering disebut publik. Dalam wawancara terkini, Steiner secara terbuka memilih Gabriel Bortoleto sebagai tandem ideal bagi Verstappen daripada nama-nama yang lebih sering dihubung-hubungkan seperti Isack Hadjar.

</p> <p>“Saya pasti akan mengambil Max Verstappen,” ujar Steiner. “Dulu saya pernah mengatakan saya akan memilih Oscar Piastri. Tapi sekarang saya akan pilih salah satu rookie, Gabriel Bortoleto. Jadi pilihannya bagi saya adalah Max dan Gabriel.” Klaim Steiner ini bukan sekadar iseng, Bortoleto, juara F3 2023 dan kontestan F2, memang masuk radar para tim besar karena talenta dan kecepatannya yang menjanjikan.</p> <p>Steiner tidak berhenti di situ. Ia juga menggambarkan visi lengkap tim impiannya: struktur organisasi ala Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula One Team yang ia nilai sangat profesional, serta kepala desainer mobil legendaris Adrian Newey sebagai pilar teknis tim. “Untuk desainer mobil saya pilih Adrian Newey. Saya yakin tim itu akan sangat sukses, dan saya sebagai team principal, tentu saja,” ujar Steiner dengan nada bercanda namun serius.</p> <p>Steiner sendiri sudah tidak menjabat sebagai kepala tim F1 setelah meninggalkan Haas sebelum musim 2024. Kini ia telah beralih ke dunia MotoGP lewat konsorsium yang mengambil alih tim Red Bull KTM Tech3. Ia menegaskan bahwa ia belum berniat kembali ke F1 sebagai kepala tim secara penuh. “Saya senang tidak menjalankan tim saat ini, karena saya sudah melakukannya. Jika ada proyek, mungkin saya tertarik. Tapi kembali sebagai team principal F1 hari-ini bukan minat saya,” bebernya.</p> <p>Pengakuan Steiner ini memberikan gambaran baru soal masa depan Red Bull dan susunan pebalap yang mungkin akan dibentuk menjelang musim mendatang.
